Green Innovation

At RAP Management we are committed to leading the charge for how our industry thinks about the way infrastructure within our communities is designed, constructed, maintained, and operated.  Using recycled asphalt for road construction has significant environmental benefits, improves fuel economy, and provides the building blocks for future roads.

Engineered for Performance

Reducing waste is at the core of sustainability. RAP Management not only recycles old roads into new pavement but we also create a highly durable product with a long lifespan. With this focus on manufacturing the highest-quality recycled product we reduce future waste by building roads built to last.

This is the future in sustainable innovation and construction.

LEED Certification

LEED certified buildings save money and resources and have a positive impact on the health of occupants, while promoting renewable, clean energy.

LEED, or Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, is a green building certification program that recognizes best-in-class building strategies and practices. To receive LEED certification, building projects satisfy prerequisites and earn points to achieve different levels of certification. Prerequisites and credits differ for each rating system, and teams choose the best fit for their project.

Carbon Credits

A carbon credit is a generic term for any tradable certificate or permit representing the right to emit one ton of carbon dioxide or the mass of another greenhouse gas (GHG).

Carbon credits and carbon markets are a component of national and international attempts to mitigate the growth in concentrations of greenhouse gases. One carbon credit is equal to one ton of carbon dioxide, or carbon dioxide equivalent gases and carbon trading is an application of an emissions trading approach. Greenhouse gas emissions are capped and then markets are used to allocate the emissions among the group of regulated sources.

The objective is to allow market mechanisms to drive industrial and commercial processes in the direction of low emissions or less carbon intensive approaches than those used when there is no cost to emitting carbon dioxide and other GHGs into the atmosphere.

Sustainable focused entities can also develop and sell carbon credits to commercial and individual customers who are interested in lowering their carbon footprint on a voluntary basis. RAP Management is diligently working to certify its sustainable operations to provide our customers the option to develop carbon credits.
